Four Hapgood sisters Weddings in Kin Kin

I found a set of 4 wedding photos connected to the 4 of the Hapgoods sisters from Kin Kin. I will do a post on each of the weddings, but for now here are the 4 photos all together, just as the sisters were all together at this stage of their lives. Which sister is in the 4th photo is unknown…. Hoping someone can identify this one! (Update – identified via a postcard in a different pile of papers. Updates below).

First, we have another photo of Olga Hapgood and Colin Seamer on 26 Sept 1942. The last post was also a photo of Olga and Colin Seamer’s wedding and this one is one the steps of the Kin Kin Methodist Church, showing the bridesmaid Clara Gwen Hapgood (and unknown best man).

The 2nd photo in the series is Ina Rosie Hapgood‘s wedding to Jim Waddell b1904 – also at Kin Kin, at the Kin Kin Methodist Church, 4 Dec 1929. My grandfather Jeffrey Gordon Hapgood is the best man, and the bridesmaid is once again Gwen Hapgood.

The 3rd photo is Clara Gwen Hapgood b1910 (known as “Gwen”) marriage to Francis Collinson (known as Frank) on 19 Jan 1946. They were married in Maryborough, Queensland, so we have the formal studio portrait

And finally there is a 4th photo – which is of Iris Hapgood and Ted Bentley. I was able to identify them from a labelled postcard that I found this week (and will add to this post). Everyone who sees this photo loves the brides dress, with the flower at the waist and hand beading.
